When The Centre:MK wanted to help shoppers discover the best looks of the season, they looked to the Xcite team to curate a flawless show. As a bustling centre set in the heart of Milton Keynes, the mall’s popular mixture of high street favourites positions it as a vibrant destination for the city’s residents and visitors to shop and be entertained.
The Brief
The Centre:MK’s inclusive, family-friendly approach appeals to a varied audience. Xcite needed to ensure the show engaged the centre's diverse shopper base whilst holding an aspirational attraction for all.
The one-level, rectangular space meant that the event was limited to one stage, and shows couldn’t be separated out into different spaces. All shows needed to appeal to the interests of wide-ranging shoppers.

Xcite’s experienced team acted as an extension of The Centre:MK’s in-house team. Channelling the centre’s 'people first' approach, Xcite conceived an audience focused experience placing guests’ pleasure and enjoyment at the forefront.
From exceptional clothes editing to impactful styling, model and talent sourcing, every aspect of the production carved purposeful, relevant and entertaining scenes. With the full set cleverly built as a cross-shaped catwalk, carefully placed lighting and sound systems ensured every visitor was positioned to delight in dramatic views from wherever they stood.
The exclusivity of London Fashion Week became accessible to all of The Centre:MK shoppers. Xcite worked with retailers to translate their brands into mini pop-up editions lining the aisle of the mall. With visitors personally interacting with all the season’s new looks, gaining insider beauty tips and discovering their top new products, everyone had the VIP treatment.
The result? Memorable scenes that fostered enduring customer relationships, boosted footfall and increased spend.
