Rushden Lakes Stakeholder Event
a superlative project within The Crown Estate’s destination-making programme
Newly opened Rushden Lakes is a unique proposition. It offers shoppers the perfect mix of high-street names, luxury brands, first-class eating and outdoor leisure activities to be explored in beautiful Nene Wetlands surroundings. As a superlative project within The Crown Estate’s destination-making programme, the centre needed to thank its investors and reward stakeholders with an unforgettable opening reception.
The impressive awe of Rushden Lakes speaks for itself. Combining design ingenuity with environmental sensitivity, the centre’s stunning affect is flawless. Xcite needed to align this superior standard with a premium event showing off all aspects of the centre.
The event had to strike a celebratory tone whilst channelling Rushden Lakes’ visionary outlook. What’s more, Xcite needed to help stakeholders enjoy all elements of Rushden Lakes’ vast, open-air layout.
A strategic approach was required to aid investors’ navigation of the site, highlighting every aspect of Rushden Lakes’ stand-out offerings.
Similarly, the centre prides itself on its sustainably-lead ethos and conservation partnership with The Wildlife Trust. Xcite needed to carefully mirror the centre’s ecological responsibility.
From the moment of arrival, Xcite set a quality tone, with a SipSmith Gin tricycle welcoming guests at the entrance of the centre’s boulevard. Guests were greeted with a specialist cocktail masterclass, creating drinks to suit their unique tastes.
Wanting to continue this personalised approach, the Xcite team drove the entire evening around experiences that made guests feel valued. Stakeholders were invited to decorate their very own keepsake champagne glass ensuring memories could be captured long after the event’s finish.
Live entertainment was provided by celebrated musicians Beats Boutique who played out an invigorating set of sax and percussion accompanied by a DJ.
The treats continued with top foodie talent including Gordon’s steak and chips and the Marshmallowists offering dishes from quirky, branded food trucks.
