As a part of Landsec’s extensive property portfolio, Lewisham Shopping Centre is a one-stop retail site providing guests with 65 high-street stores, dining facilities and supermarket shopping. Wanting to boost footfall over the Easter period, highlight the centre’s inclusive, family-friendly appeal and capture crucial data about their audience, Xcite were the centre’s go-to choice for increasing brand awareness and affinity.

The Brief

Family outings during holiday periods are often a source of stress for busy families. Xcite needed to conceive an event that would thrill and excite children whilst being hassle-free for parents.

What’s more, the event needed to drive visitors' brand affection for the centre, inviting them to share their information through competition participation.

Our Solution

Xcite conceived a 4 day Easter extravaganza installing arts and craft workshops in the retail centre’s central square. Every element of the activation was seamlessly managed and produced to take the stress away from parents.

Providing expert craft-makers to guide children, little ones were entertained with complimentary activities including the creation of hanging decorations, sequin eggs, animal-themed masks and stained-glass decorations. As youngsters enjoyed the seasonal excitement, parents could enter their families into a competition to win desirable prizes from the centre’s retailers.

Xcite provided Landsec with extensive data capture from the prize draw to facilitate future communications with guests and raising brand awareness. What’s more, the centre was positioned as the obvious choice for an enjoyable family outing.
